Adobe Creative Suite 4 Released!

This just in, Adobe has released Creative Suite 4. It is not available just yet, but will reach consumers in October. However, if you want to be notified of its release or preorder your own version, you may do so now.

What does CS4 offer?

CS3 was released less a year and a half ago. So you might be wondering what this new version contains that would make an upgrade worthwhile. To help you out, we’ve listed some key features below:

• Dreamweaver – Imporved CSS shortcuts and Live View which enables real-time editing
• Fireworks – Export interactive PDF documents, such as an entire website mockup
• Flash – Enables faster creation of animations.
• Illustrator – Work on multiple projects at once using Multiple Artboards
• Photoshop – Improved 3D editing capabilities

Is it worth the hefty upgrade fee?

For most users, the new features of CS4 are not worth the upgrade fee, as it isn’t likely that the features will be used. However, for creative professionals and web developers, it would be a good investment as the added features will increase efficiency.

Fortunately, Adobe allows all prospective buyers to take advantage of an extended trial. So when it is released, you will have 30 days to answer this question for yourself.
