Web Design and Development
We can all agree that WordPress has some staunch supporters. But who would have thought that one WordPress user would go so far as to get the WordPress logo permanently tattooed on his arm?!
Well, just this month, Ed Morita of Baker’s Hours got this custom WordPress tattoo on his inner arm and has completely shocked the WordPress community.
He explained his reasons for getting the tattoo, I have been a blogger in some form or another since 2004, and I have been using WordPress for most of that time
.
He also stated, WordPress has been a big part of my life, and like other big things in my life I think that it is time for me to get inked.
Well, that is true devotion!
Would I get a WordPress tattoo? No, I doubt I’d tattoo myself at all, much less tattoo myself for anything that I use. Instead, I’ll stick to writing plugins and developing WordPress websites.
But what about you? Would you tattoo yourself for any brand?

errrr… Nope, I won’t EVER get a tattoo
My sentiments exactly!
That seems a little extreme – he must REALLY love WordPress. I recently saw a photo of a tramp stamp with a bible verse from Corinthians so it’s hard to say what compels people.
I do have a tattoo – it’s one of the only things I regret doing when I was young. I always try to convince people not to do it but they never listen.
Yes, this is very extreme. I doubt that Matt, WordPress creator, would even tattoo the logo on himself… And WordPress is even more important to him! lol.
And yes, I remember you mentioning your tattoo in your ’7 secret things’ post.
I’d never get a tattoo because its just soooo permanent. And with my luck, my tattoo artist would likely make a mistake and I’d be stuck with a big ‘ooops!’ for the rest of my life. haha.
Nope, no tattoos for me, either. I always wonder what those tattoos will look like when someone is eighty years old and their skin has wrinkles and/or sags. I’m getting a vision.
Haha. Yes, that is a good motivation not to get one.
I am with raju. I won’t get a tatoo
Yeh, this guy is getting a lot of publicity because people cannot believe that someone would do this.
Huh… not because its a WP tattoo… but i like my skin as it is lol… so no tattoo for now.
Yes, I feel the same way. WP or not, no tattoo for me.
Yikes! I would never tattoo myself with any brand. I have one small tattoo on my ear, but I don’t have plans to get any more (brand or no brand).
Yeh, and this guy’s tattoo is much larger than the one your probably have on your ear…
Aye Curumba, buy a friggin t-shirt sporty. I wouldn’t even tattoo my own brand! Hmm…
Anyhoo, who’s taking bets that a year or so from now something will surface that he made some coin for doing it somehow…
Yes, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got paid for it… He must have gotten something. Other people who have been tattooed by brands/companies in the past were paid for their efforts.
Now thats sick. I won’t definitely!
Yes, you’ll just stick with fancy hair.
In general, the only thing I can think of that I would be permanently happy with is a tattoo of the Japanese characters for peace and love. A company or brand? Never. No matter how strong or popular they are now, they may not even be around in the future, and then you’re stuck with it. Or you have to have it painfully removed, and still left with funky skin scarring.

Yeh. If I were to get a tattoo, it would have to be something timeless (and small). And I agree, I’ve seen the results of tattoo removal, and it isn’t ever too good…
I’m a WordPress fan. And, yeah, why not – the WordPress logo’s cool!
I love wordpress but I will never replace my tattoo with wordpress. Because of I will do so I have to get another tattoo for dell, twitter and facebook too
No, I wouldn’t regret it. I love wordpress. If I had thought about it earlier, I would have wanted it. Now it’s not original anymore. But still, it is a cool tattoo!
I love wordpress. But there’s no way im gonna get that tattoo. Its gonna look sick!
why not, if the guy has been blogging since 2004, I guess it’s pretty safe to say that in some way WordPress has been a pretty big part of his life but I guess getting tattoo visual way to remind himself of this
I love and patronized WordPress but I will not have myself a tattoo because I will not be comfortable in it. But in fairness, I admired Ed Morita for that tattoo. That’s his way of showing his love for WordPress.
Im a massive fan of WordPress but im sure their are more important people in the persons life that would have deserved a mention!
I would certainly consider getting a tattoo, but I don’t think I would ever get one featuring a brand. I would want something more meaningful!
