The best thing about WordPress software, in addition to its impressive feature set and dedicated developers, is that it has a plugin API. The WordPress Plugin API makes it easy for plugin authors, like ourselves, to create all sorts of additional features for WordPress. And the WordPress Plugin Directory makes it easy to distribute these to the community.
And while it may seem like just about every kind of plugin has been developed, we do have the need to make our own from time to time. Recently, for example, we launched the Update URLs plugin. And we are currently working on a plugin which creates a splash page that visitors to a website will see only on their initial entry.
And its likely that you too may have wished for some unique functionality that wasn’t already out there. So…
We like developing plugins, so if you have any ideas for plugins that aren’t already created, let us know. Submit your plugin ideas by commenting on this post. And we will develop the ones that we think many people would like to use. We’ll also develop extremely unique plugins. (All developed plugins will be released to the community under the GPL license.)
Before posting, be sure to check the WordPress Plugin Directory to make sure that your idea hasn’t already been developed.
